1.- Samaná Bay
There thousands of humpback whales flock during the winter mating season, between January and March. It is estimated that every year they travel between 3,000 and 3,500 Humpback whales to mate in the Bay of Samaná. The songs of the males to attract the females can be heard from a radius of 30 kilometers, and their jumps impress the visitors.
Nearby, there is the main attraction of the Whale Museum: a giant whale skeleton.
3.-Lemon Leap Waterfall
Within Los Haitises National Park, there are many waterfalls but one stands out for its spectacular nature: El Salto del Limón.
A waterfall whose crystalline waters precipitate 40 meters and into which it is still possible to bathe.
